Tap & Go Benefits

The benefits to retailers are clear – spending is usually higher with cards than cash. In addition to this, however, is the increasing likelihood of spontaneous buying for small amount items such as chocolate, newspapers or drinks. The ‘tap and go’ debit card avoids having to break a note, which can deter passing trade from making small purchases.

For the consumer, the ‘tap and go’ systems eradicate fumbling around for loose change, which also means lighter pockets. The new card’s efficiency is likely to prove successful anywhere that the buying and selling process is speeded up, such as a sandwich shop or canteen.
