Insolvency practitioner

We only use insolvency practitioners who are fully licensed by The Law Societies, The Insolvency Practitioners Association or The Department of Trade and who have a proven track record of handling IVAs.  Our IVA practitioners are also regulated by the IPA (Insolvency Practitioners Association).

The Role of Insolvency Practitioner

An IVA Practitioner helps to formulate repayments and will act as mediator for us when negotiating with your creditors.

Creditors will consider a repayment proposal put forward by Debts.org and will decide what you can afford to pay in monthly installments.

In the terms of any IVA, it states that any additional money you may win, or inherit for example, must be declared to your IP immediately to prevent a default from being registered against your name. A default of any nature can lead to bankruptcy.
