when i say be specific i mean are you in to too much of debts, or you have filed for bankruptcy

I owe a fair amount of money on credit cards, etc.  My worry is that bailiffs will turn up at my door and take my possessions.  My issue is that I owe around £45 000.  Hence, they could take the entire contents of my house and it would barely scratch the surface of what I owe.  So, to be more specific with regards to my intial question: I am a single parent.  Taking that into account, what would be considered to be our essentails; what could they potentially leave me with?
